Responsibilities: Plan and deliver effective and inclusive lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students with SEMH. Adapt teaching methods and resources to accommodate individual learning styles and abilities. Collaborate with other teachers, teaching assistants, and support staff to develop individualised Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and implement strategies for student progress. Establish strong communication channels with parents, guardians, and external professionals involved in the care and education of students with SEMH needs. Requirements To be considered for the role of SEMH Teacher you will: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification. Specialisation or experience in teaching students with SEMH learning needs in a mainstream or specialist environment. Deep understanding of moderate learning difficulties, such as autism spectrum disorders, dyslexia, ADHD, and speech and language impairments. Strong knowledge of different teaching strategies, interventions, and resources for SEND students. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with students with SEND. Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students in an ever-changing educational environment.
