Principal Safety Consultant - Defence
As a Principal Safety Consultant, you will be responsible for the delivery of Technical Assurance, safety case, and environmental management services for a wide range of projects, primarily across all the defence domains: land, maritime, air, nuclear, and command and control domains. Experience of implementing safety and/or environmental management in the defence industry is essential, with experience from other high hazard sectors, such as oil and gas or chemical industry, being of interest.
This role is hybrid, with candidates considered from the whole of the South of England. The RPS Defence team has been a leading provider of technical assurance in defence safety and risk consultancy services to clients in the UK for over 30 years. We provide our core safety and environmental assessment services, including management support and independent audit, to both MOD and defence supply chain organizations and some other non-defence, exciting technology-based clients.

Performing safety and/or environmental management support and Independent Safety and/or Environmental Audit across a range of domains
# Leading and mentoring junior staff
# Understanding of UK safety regulations and supporting assessment techniques and software tools. Understanding of UK Defence Sector. Hazard identification and analysis
# Qualitative and quantitative risk assessment
# Safety Case and Hazard Log development
# Independent Safety Audit
