If you’d like to work with children with communication difficulties, hearing and visual impairments, cognition needs, behavioural needs, complex physical and medical needs, or sensory processing disorders, read more to find out how Children with disabilities, SLD, and PMLD need specialised support- are you the person to offer this?
Children are taught with a highly individualised curriculum, with targeted interventions to help them develop their communication and cognition skills. You will provide support to pupils who need help to overcome barriers to learning, including moderate, severe, profound, and multiple learning difficulties. Children may also need support with their behaviour, social, communication, sensory, or physical disabilities. You may be required to assist pupils with personal care needs, including changing, physical development programmes, and personal independence skills.
Experienced working with children or adults with disabilities, including SLD, PMLD, or other SEND needs
