Job Title: Assistant Management Accountant
Function: Finance
Reporting to: UK Management Accountant
Scope: Clarke Energy Ltd
Location: Knowsley, Hybrid working available
Job Purpose: To provide support to the production of the UK management accounts and the finance department.
Majority of time spent: Assisting the finance team to deliver the monthly/quarterly/yearly results.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and reconciliation of weekly cashflow
  • Quarterly VAT analysis and submission
  • Intercompany invoicing
  • Intercompany reconciliations
  • Intercompany commission calculations
  • Monthly profit and loss movement analysis
  • Overview of customer compliance checks
  • Invoicing of customer O&M
  • Involvement with internal and external audits
  • Future duties will include balance sheet reconciliations and processing of project WIP
  • Other adhoc duties to assist the department
  • Perform administrative duties as required
  • Follow and adhere to Health, Safety and Environmental standards and regulations as appropriate to work being undertaken

Technical/Professional Knowledge and Skills:

  • Part Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA (or actively studying towards)
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel/Office
  • Good knowledge of accounting packages – Navision 4ps would be advantageous
  • Good level of business understanding

  • Experience of working in an engineering environment or similar
