We have an exciting opportunity working within both new and existing projects, creating bespoke, safe and cost-effective engineering solutions for our clients within the energy sector. If you are passionate about Design, have some energy industry experience, or have transferable skills, then we would love to hear from you.
Aids the project in creating schedules, time assignment and resource allocation.
Responsible for ensuring designs meet project requirements.
Input to project plans.
Identify areas of concern during any project or study.
Undertake surveys, both onshore and offshore.
Our Designers can expect to work in a modern environment,based in our Aberdeen or Glasgow office. We offer flexible working on a hybrid basis where 2 days per week can be worked remotely.Role is available on a staff or contractor basis.
About You Our ideal candidate will enjoy team working, will be customer and quality focused, can use their own initiative and will be responsive to our business and client needs. You should also enjoy Leadership and development of people through coaching and mentoring of others.
Strong experience performing studies, FEED and detail design of Piping fabrications in an EPC environment or client role is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of the offshore and onshore Oil and Gas business, but similar transferrable industries skills will be also considered in lieu of specific O&G experience.
Experience of working in a brownfield environment/projects preferred.
In depth experience of offshore piping lay-out requirements (Design, Safety, Construction and installation and maintenance aspects)
In depth experience of offshore safety regulations and construction requirements
Having offshore BOSIET, MIST and medical is required for the role with experience of site surveys.
Experience in 3D modelling - AutoCAD plant 3D is required.
Experience in generating and design checking 3D models (AutocAD plant 3D preferred).
Experience in AutoCad, Plant 3D and Recap.
Offshore Certificates are required for this role.
