Test Engineer Petersfield GU32 £17.00p/h We are recruiting for a Test Engineer for one of our clients based in Petersfield. The company is a family run company that work on medical and defence equipment. This is an ongoing contract role. Key Responsibilities of the Test Engineer: The test engineer is responsible for the testing and calibration of products, PCBs and spares in line with defined test procedures to ensure products meet defined specifications and operational requirements. This role is also responsible for the investigation and repair of products and PCBs for both warranty and non-warranty returns. 1. Testing of New Products, PCBs and Spares
- Calibrate and testing of all completed products to required specification and in line current specified test procedures.
- The testing of circuit boards in line with current defined test procedures and specifications.
- Testing of spares to current defined test procedures and specifications.
- Undertake fault finding of product and PCB repairs received from customers, including the completion of root cause analysis, to identify, repair and / or replace and repair the faulty product.
- Fully testing repaired products to ensure fully operational.
- Reporting of findings and repair actions.
- Testing of new products e.g. electro-mechanical devices.
- Assisting R&D with new product development as and when required.
- Any other duties as required to fulfil business needs.
- A recognised relevant qualification (ONC, HNC, BTEC, BSc etc.)
- Electronics re-work experience and/or relevant qualification.
- Awareness of procedures required in medical instrument manufacturing processes.
- Awareness of medical quality standard EN ISO13485.
- Excellent understanding of electronic circuit diagrams including both analogue and digital.
- Strong electronics fault finding techniques including both analogue and digital.
- Soldering skills (both through hole and surface mount), trained to IPC J Standard.
- Strong team player, with the ability to work unsupervised.
- Flexibility to work in all departments as and when required to fulfil business needs.
- Monday – Wednesday 07:00 – 17:00pm
- Thursday 07:30am – 16:30pm
- £17.00p/h
