English Teacher - Trafford

A dedicated and passionate English Teacher is required to work at a popular secondary school in Trafford, to join them on a full-time basis, teaching key stage 3 & 4 from September 2024, on an ongoing basis, likely to be for the full academic year on a full-time basis.

This position is five days a week, full time, and is open to ECTs as well as experienced Trafford teachers.

You will be required to become fully involved within the department & school, like a permanent member of staff, and attend departmental meetings when required, and be available for parents' evenings as well as planning and delivering captivating, high standard lessons that will stretch the pupils in their learning. This school teaches GCSE and has a key focus on build knowledge throughout KS3 and KS4. This is a school that the students feel safe in and happy to attend, with a strong sense of pride in their own school. The students are punctual and show enthusiasm when it comes to their education. CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS:

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Secondary QTS (PGCE, SCITT, B.Ed, QTS, etc)

Previous experience working with young people (which we can reference)

Experience of teaching in a Secondary School (which we can reference)

Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, we can provide the training)

Up to date Prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, again, we can provide the training)

Up to date behaviour management & FGM training (essential, however, training can be provided).

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application at a cost of £45.including history from Secondary School onwards)
