About you

The successful candidate will have insight and enthusiasm; should be willing to adopt an innovative approach to curriculum planning and be committed to using a wide range of approaches to support students making progress in and out of lessons. Above all else, the successful candidate should be enthusiastic about their work with young people and have a genuine concern for their development as individuals.

About the role

There is a friendly and professional atmosphere within the department and a strong emphasis on encouraging positive rapport between staff and students in the pursuit of academic success. There is a wealth of experience and professional knowledge and an encouragement to undertake CPD.

Experience of teaching A level English Language is essential as this will be a key aspect of this role. You will also be teaching GCSE English and A-Level Media Studies. It is desirable if you also have experience teaching both English Language and Literature.

The post is suitable for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers and is due to start in August / September 2024 ready for the new academic year.
