If yes, then you might be the perfect candidate for our part-time Technical Information Officer role at Lucideon, working three days a week
As a Technical Information Officer, you will work within the Library and Technology Partnership team to provide a wide range of information, primarily environmental and ceramics based, and convey that to our audiences through bulletins, an enquiry service and via LOIS, the Lucideon Online Information Service. You will also use your research experience and knowledge management skills to translate your research outputs for industry impact, produce high-quality written work, and support the development of online ceramics-based training content.
Maintain knowledge of developments in the external environment e.g. legislation, product safety, environmental, regulatory relevant to ceramics by gathering and regularly reviewing appropriate information to remain current in the environmental and ceramics sectors.
•Produce high-quality written work and deliver accurate documentation.
•Take an active role in the activities and objectives of the team and wider cross-organisational activities/projects.
•Support the development of online ceramics-based training content.
It’s all about you:
You are a recent graduate or a junior professional with a degree in a relevant subject (such as environmental or scientific or information) or equivalent experience. Or you could have experience of working within a ceramics or industry environment. You have an interest in and an aptitude for research and information, and a passion for ceramics and environmental issues. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to analyse written material relating to technical issues, identify and summarise key issues, and establish an understanding of the external environment and take this into account in your work. You also have excellent computer skills and the ability to use various tools and platforms to support your work.
•Degree in a relevant subject (such as environmental or scientific or information-based) or equivalent experience.
•Experience of working within a ceramics or industry environment.
•Ability to analyse written material relating to technical issues, identify and summarise key issues, and establish an understanding of the external environment and take this into account in your work.
•Excellent computer skills and the ability to use various tools and platforms to support your work.
