Salary: £39,262 to £44,460 inclusive of Local Weighting Allowance (Plus £5,973 market supplement per annum)
Working at the forefront of our vibrant Transport and Highways team you will play a vital role in the development of safe, high quality engineering projects, as well as leading on the delivery of statutory Council responsibilities in support of sustainable growth, social inclusion and accessibility. 
The post will require a person with an understanding of road safety scheme development, attention to detail and commitment to deliver high quality work. We have a far-reaching Transport vision and a commitment to delivering safety improvements across our transport network in this exciting role. You will have experience of demonstrable collaborative skills, ability to manage a range of high profile and high priority projects, and comfortable interacting with internal and external contacts at all levels. 
If you have a sound knowledge of highway design principles and standards, an ability to analyse technical data to design schemes, can write technical reports for decision makers and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment then we would welcome an application from you. We particularly welcome applicants who have previous experience in highways project management and road safety auditing.
