Our role of Duty Manager will fit a proactive individual with excellent problem solving skills and previous experience of working in all hotel departments. You must be flexible in working hours, as your shifts will include a mixture of early (7am - 3:30pm) and late (2:30pm - 11pm) shifts and working weekends and Bank Holidays.
Our Duty Manager is a key member of the management team as you will be proactively supervising the day to day operation when on shift, helping out in departments as required and identifying and resolving problems in liaison with, or in the absence of, the Head of the Department. Experience in all operational areas of a quality hotel with at least 1 years' experience in a Supervisory or Junior Management role (previous Duty Management experience an advantage).
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a good command of written & spoken English and an outgoing personality and professional manner.
Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office) and a working knowledge of Opera and Micros
Prepared to work a flexible rota 5 out of 7 days, according to the needs of the business.
Providing a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for our guests, delivering the highest level of customer service.
Ensuring guest needs are attended to at all times by dealing professionally and appropriately with guest requests, enquires, comments and complaints.
Supporting all departments when needed to ensure service runs smoothly.
Carrying out ad hoc project work to help the senior management team as required.
Learning and building your knowledge of all the hotel's products and services.
Please note: there is no staff car parking on site at the hotel, but plenty of secure space to store bicycles and with great access to local bus and train services
