Tandem is recruiting for a FULL-TIME POSITION as a STRUCTURAL ENGINEER with a minimum of 5 years’ experience to support our clients' projects in our WINDSOR, ON OR DETROIT, MI LOCATION .
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, emphasis on structures
# Experience in the automotive industry
# Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office Software including Project AutoCAD required
# Proficiency in one of the following software:

Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis Professional
SAP 2000
Familiar with Canadian and American Structural Engineering design standards and codes
Experience in structural analysis and design of steel, concrete, masonry, and timber structures
Experience with Automotive and conveyor structural design projects
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
Ability to think methodically, to design, plan and manage projects
Ability to maintain an overview of entire projects while continuing to attend to detailed technicalities
Must have superior time management skills and the ability to multi-task with multiple projects
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, the ability to speak multiple languages is considered an asset
Hold a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
Must be able to obtain work permit in Canada
Able to use design software and drawings tools
Minimal travel to job sites to collect and survey existing conditions
Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications drawing
Perform site visits and attend meetings with contractors and clients
Perform structural analysis and design of steel, concrete, masonry and timber structures
Familiar with industrial applications with emphasis on automotive and conveyor structural engineering experience
