This role is a unique opportunity to lead on the implementation and development of a local CAMHS mental health team across the Primary Care Network (PCN) in Kirklees.
You will work with Primary Care, the Integrated Care Board (ICB), schools, Core CAMHS and Kirklees Keep in Mind colleagues to deliver high quality care in the local PCNs forming a vital link between secondary and primary care.
The aim of this new service is to provide early intervention, assessment and treatment to reduce referrals into Core CAMHS and reduce inappropriate referrals to A& E. This is in line with the NHS plan to ensure children and young people are seen at the right time, in the right place for the right care.
As a qualified ACP you will be the most senior clinician in the service overseeing: You will provide supervision to the team on an ad-hoc and planned basis. Assessment / formulation of first contact mental health presentations
Delivery of high-quality brief interventions
Appropriate signposting to other members of the local CAMHS and third sector providers
Leadership qualities
Identify training requirements and provide a consultancy and support role within the team and to the wider integrated care workforce.

Work as an independent non-medical prescriber where permitted/appropriate (or for professional groups currently unable to register as an independant prescriber such as occupational therapists and speech and language therapists completion of a working with medication prescribing module is required) within areas as required and designated, taking responsibility for the clinical assessment of the patient, establishing a diagnosis and the clinical management required in accordance with the Trusts non-medical prescribing policy and protocols.
Current registration as Independent Non- Medical Prescriber/or completion of a working with medication prescribing course and demonstration of competence with medication if professional group unable to prescribe

Teaching, training or mentorship qualification or experience to an equivalent level.


Training
Evidence of relevant training and ongoing professional development.


Evidence of speciality training.


Extensive experience of working within speciality at Senior(B7) level or above.
Extensive practice as Independent non-medical prescriber within speciality. Where professional group currently unable to become a non-medical prescriber completion of a working with medication prescribing course is required and demonstration of competence in this field is required. Substantial experience in managerial / nursing leadership roles
Developed awareness of the evolving healthcare agenda and the implications for nursing/clinical practice.
Evidence of facilitating quality improvement into practice.
Experience of training and education.

A satisfactory sickness record over the previous 2 years (subject to the need to act with fairness and equality of opportunity, particularly where the sickness is related to a disability and/or pregnancy).


Evidence of developing robust governance system including the development and implementation of evidence-based protocols, standards, policies, procedures and guidelines.
Develop, deliver and evaluate training and education packages for individuals and groups in a variety of settings.
Ability to participate in strategic thinking and development, ensuring this translates to practice development to improve the quality of care.
Demonstrate advanced knowledge of issues in health care/speciality.

A current driving licence and access to a car during the working day is essential (reasonable adjustments will be considered for any applicants who are unable to drive due to a disability).
