We are looking for a dynamic person to lead a small team (6-8 electricians) in a fast paced and varied role maintaining the Christchurch International Airport. This is a rare opportunity to work in an environment like no other with assets you are unlikely to service to elsewhere.

This role will be responsible for: 

  • Managing workflow and job allocations for the team 
  • HSE and Quality audits of delivery team 
  • Quoting and delivery of minor projects 
  • Delivering general maintenance electrical services to Christchurch International Airport 
  • Maintaining critical electrical infrastructure and assets - air bridges, aircraft power supplies, HVAC, BMS 
  • Dynamic work day where no 2 jobs are the same 
  • Working 40 hours per week with flexibility of working hours 
  • Being available for our on-call roster for after-hour services one week every six. 

Requirements 

The successful candidate will have/be:

  • Experience leading a successful delivery team. 
  • Full Class 1 Driver Licence. 
  • Trade qualified with a current practicing licence. 
  • Maintenance and fault-finding experience.
  • Any knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS), HVAC, and control wiring is advantageous.
  • Ability to work to and meet deadlines.
  • A strong emphasis on health and safety.
  • Ability to work alone and as a team adapting to new environments and technologies.
  • Passion for the local community.
