Marble Talent Group is currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer for our client who manufactures and installs a range of plant machinery into manufacturing environments This is a nationwide role, though being based in the North East is beneficial for collecting stock. Responsibilities include:

  • Must be mechanically qualified or have relevant experience.
  • Must have a background in mechanical fitting.
  • Willing to work on a mixture of jobs and machinery, including shredders.
  • Must be hardworking and willing to work long hours if needed.
  • Identify and resolve safety concerns on machinery.
  • Read and accurately interpret engineering drawings.
  • Dismantle and overhaul machinery assemblies.
  • Lead/project manage site work on bigger site installations.
  • Attend service, breakdowns, repairs, installations, planned/reactive maintenance, or any other site work as directed.
  • Be part of an out-of-office technical support rota, which will include call-outs from time to time.
  • Be available to work weekends, late nights, early mornings.
For this role, you will be required to stay away from home regularly; for example, some engineers can be away for 10 days at a time. However, this gives a great opportunity to increase your annual salary. Here's why:
  • Fully expensed food and accommodation while away.
  • Can achieve 15/20 hours of OTE a week.
  • When working on a Saturday, you get paid £27.38 per hour. When working on a Sunday, you get paid £36.52 per hour.
  • After 3 days away, you receive an additional £10 per day.
