Essential


  • Recent senior management experience in acute NHS environment
  • Experience of leading strategic change in service delivery
  • Experience of managing change to enable the effective delivery of Key Performance

Desirable


  • Management responsibility for a diverse workforce (> 100 employees)
  • Experience of leading projects at a corporate level
  • Experience of developing innovative schemes and business diversification in pursuance of Divisional priorities

Qualifications, Specific Experience & Training

Essential


  • To be educated at Masters Level or working towards qualification or have relevant senior management experience
  • Post Graduate management qualification
  • Recent senior management experience in acute NHS environment

Desirable


  • Experience of using lean tools and techniques
  • Management responsibility for a diverse workforce (> 100 employees)
  • Experience of leading projects at a corporate level
  • Experience of developing innovative schemes and business diversification in pursuance of Divisional priorities
  • Experience of working in partnership with the independent healthcare sector

  • Senior operational management experience in an acute environment
  • Experience of leading strategic change in service delivery
  • Experience of managing change to enable the effective delivery of Key Performance

  • Experience of cross organisation working to improve service delivery / patient experience / cost effectiveness

Knowledge and Skills

  • Ability to write complex reports and business plans
  • Ability to translate strategic intent into operational direction
  • Ability to analyse, interpret and manage financial, service and manpower data and respond accordingly
  • Ability to plan for service needs
  • Budget holder familiar with budget setting, monitoring and actively managing variation
  • Delivery of KPIs within an acute NHS environment
  • Delivery of significant CIP projects
  • Preparation and presentation of Business Cases to Executives
  • Ability to work effectively in partnership with clinical leaders
  • To be able to analyse, interpret and use analytical skills in situations that are highly complex and multi-functional
  • To have the ability to plan and organise a broad range of complex activities across different professional groups and organisations which will require ongoing review and modification of plans
  • To be able to manage competing demands from a managerial and staff perspective across different services and geographical sites and be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
