JOB PURPOSE

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced IT professional to join us as a Senior IT Solutions Consultant, leading all IT Sales opportunities and projects from start to finish. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our suppliers and IT customers, understanding their requirements and translating them into viable technical solutions. You will stay abreast of current market trends and work closely with our Sales Team to identify untapped IT opportunities within their customer bases and increase opportunities to cross-sell and upsell.

We are looking for a results-driven individual with strong analytical and problem-solving skills who is focused on achieving customer satisfaction. This role requires a proactive approach in identifying opportunities and addressing challenges, proposing innovative solutions, and communicating effectively with customers.

Once the opportunity has been identified, scoped, and signed off with the customer, you will then produce the scope of works to provision and install the solution that has been sold, before handing over to the technical support desk for ongoing support. This will require strong coordination skills, technical competence, and problem-solving abilities, as well as good communication skills to ensure smooth delivery and outstanding customer service.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the 'IT Champion' of Welcomm, being the first port of call for all IT Sales queries and opportunities.
  • Manage and oversee all IT opportunities for the business from scope to quotation and implementation.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams on IT opportunities and projects, including other IT Consultants, Account Managers, Business Development Managers, and our IT Technical Support Team.
  • Attend prospective IT customer sales meetings to maximise closing deals.
  • Create and deliver IT training sessions for the Sales Team, coaching and upskilling colleagues when required.
  • Develop marketing/sales collateral for the IT vertical, including writing and posting blogs for social media.
  • Act as an escalation point for the Technical Support Team for complex technical queries.
  • Lead quarterly business reviews with customers, analysing recent cases/tickets raised and making recommendations for future projects to maximise revenue and ensure the right solutions for customers.
  • Produce detailed scopes of work for provisioning and installing solutions sold.
  • Coordinate with the technical support desk for seamless handover and ongoing support.

ABOUT YOU

  • Proven track record in a pre-sales or technical consulting role within IT, demonstrating the ability to assess customer needs and tailor IT solutions to meet those needs effectively.
  • Minimum of 3+ years in an IT Support role and 2+ years in an IT Engineer role.
  • Proficiency in IT Infrastructure (Servers, Endpoints, Networking), Cloud Technologies (Microsoft Azure), and Networking Concepts (Firewalls, Routers, Switches, Access Points).
  • Sound understanding of Windows Operating Systems (both Windows Desktop and Windows Server).
  • Experience working with Virtualisation Technologies (such as Hyper-V and VMware).
  • Strong technical competence to install and configure IT solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to act as an escalation point for technical support.
  • Effective communication and coordination skills to ensure smooth project delivery.
