This is a fantastic opportunity to take your first step in employment within a well respected group of manufacturers. You will receive one to one mentoring and be working within a hands on and varied role with fantastic progression opportunities. The role will suit graduates who seek the opportunity to be a design engineer. Applicants must have experience of 3D design using Solidworks design packages. You will ideally have a mechanical engineering degree or equivalent. If you have placement or work previous experience within a manufacturing environment you will have a considerable advantage. If you have previous experience within the plastic industry you are encouraged to apply. You must be able to demonstrate a willingness to learn and progress within your role. The role will be working within a plastics manufacturer who produce bespoke products for the large automotive OEMs such as Jaguar Land Rover and McLaren. You will liaise with sales teams to understand customer requirements prior to designing products using Solidworks software. You will also work quite closely with production teams for sign off ahead of manufacture. In time, you will be customer facing and provide costings and BOMs for bespoke orders. This is a brand new role within a growing organisation and they are expanding their design team due to ongoing success in their industry. This is a great opportunity where you can get exposure to the full design lifecycle. You will be well supported in your role and there will be opportunities for personal and professional development.   • Design from scratch of bespoke plastic products for manufacture
  • 3D design using Solidworks
  • Liaising with sales and production teams
  • Putting together quotes, costings and BOMs
Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer
  • Must have Solidworks experience
  • Applicants who have experience within manufacturing will have a considerable advantage
  • Any experience within plastics will be advantageous
  • Mechanical engineering graduate or equivalent/similar
