The Role – SIA Security Officer

Pinnacle Group is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and self-motivated Security Guard to join our security team at a leading design and engineering site in Lockwood Huddersfield

This is a Permanent role with a Min of 24 hours per week - the suitable person would be available to work a mixture of days and nights covering 12-hour shifts

Duties/Key Responsibilities

  • You must be flexible and able to work in a multi-service team
  • Meet and greet visitors, staff and contractors and manage the gatehouse environment by signing in vehicles
  • To carry out Daily / Weekly health & safety checks
  • Carry out routine patrols on-site
  • Locking and unlocking of the site
  • Assist in deterring crime within the site
  • Take accurate notes to complete reports, logbook entries and all relevant paperwork to a high standard - including reporting in detail any incidents occurring whilst on duty
  • Liaison with local authorities including police, emergency healthcare services or even fire extinguishers in case of an emergency
  • Operating telephone switchboard
  • Carry out any reasonable task requested by the client or Manager, if you are trained to do so.

Skills Required

  • Valid SIA Front Line SG/DS Licence
  • 1ST Aid at Work Cert preferred but not essential
  • Full 5-year UK checkable work history
  • Resided in the UK for the last 5 years
  • You will need to evidence your honesty and reliability and always maintain a sense of pride in your professionalism in delivering excellent customer service.
Please Note: The appointment of this role will be subject to completion of a satisfactory Basic Disclosure Barring Service Check and National Security Vetting (NSV) Check
