Recovery and Education Lead - Recovery College
The Belfast Recovery College is a mental health and wellbeing learning, study and education facility providing a range of recovery focused courses, learning opportunities and wellbeing resources for the community of Belfast. The Recovery College aims to support students to become experts in their own self-care and to help Carers/ Supporters and staff to better understand living with mental health conditions and the strategies that will support people on their recovery journey.
The Recovery and Education Lead will adopt the role of lead Education Specialist and will be accountable for the overall quality of the courses delivered by the College. The postholder will lead on coproduction and embedding the principles of PPI and the College ethos of hope, control and opportunity in all aspects of service delivery. The post holder will also lead on governance involving programmes of audit, developing and monitoring of quality standards, protocols, maintaining and overseeing the implementation of accreditation standards and safeguarding and evaluation and outcomes of the service. In partnership with the Service User Consultant the post holder will Co-Lead the implementation of ImROC – Implementing Recovery through Organisational Change. The Recovery Lead will be responsible for the supervision of the Hub peer and professional Educator workforce, and the provision of reflective supervision for all substantive and sessional educators. They will provide all training, mentoring and support to ensure the peer aspect of the role is embedded and that professional educators are adhering to the ethos and principles of the Recovery College.
