This well known brand is embarking on a 5 year growth strategy which will see turnover increasing by approximately 200% through entering overseas markets and expanding the services they provide. Your New Role as Financial Controller: Working in a team of 5 finance staff, this Financial Controller role acts as no.2 support to an experienced and engaging Finance Director. As Financial Controller, specific duties will include:
  • Leading a team of 2 Assistant Accountants, responsible for their training and development
  • Oversee the preparation of financial reports including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements
  • Set up corporate structure for foreign growth strategies
  • Develop and implement cash strategies for managing third party funds
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with a variety of external stakeholders including auditors and suppliers
  • Manage internal controls and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Review existing systems and processes, recommending and implementing improvements where required, and leading on any future system implementations/upgrades
Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply: The ideal candidate will be fully ACA or ACCA qualified with experience within Accountancy Practice, with some industry experience ideally. A forward thinking approach is required with an analytical mindset and the ability to interpret complex financial data to provide strategic insights. Additionally, the confidence to influence and challenge is required with the ability to present new ideas to align with continual improvement initiatives.
