The Role is for a BIM Technician to be qualified and skilled in all areas of their role, with MEP ( Mechanical, Electrical and Power) experience as a minimum, ideally with IT infra-structure knowledge in Data Centre and Enterprise environments.
The BIM Technician will have technical understanding of Industry Standards and show previous experience working within a construction environment, collaborating with stakeholders and other professional trades. The BIM Technician will support the CAD Manager, Design Managers and Project Managers, to attend regular BIM Co-ordination meetings either remotely or attending “on-site” as required
What you’ll be doing as our BIM Technician:
To create and modify 3D models using BIM software i.e Revit and Navisworks.
Populate model with essential annotation data following technical specification, ensuring all components are correctly tagged and annotated.
Fully understand the requirements contained within the BEP (BIM Execution Plan)
Attend BIM coordination meetings and participate in discussions bringing any issues or concerns to the project team
Ability to produce 2D drawings on relevant sheets for use in Autocad
Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows Applications
What we’re looking for in our BIM Technician:
The ability to work under pressure and meet response times for BIM designs
Relevant experience working as a BIM technician within a MEP project environment.
Extensive knowledge of REVIT, Navisworks and AutoCAD.
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft products i.e. Excel, Word, Project, Visio and Power Point.
Being able to Support the CAD department for all BIM requirements.
The production of detailed Structured Cabling Drawings such as Floor Plans, Building Schematics, Cabinet/Frame Layouts, Cable Densities, Detail Drawings, pre-termination schedules and Isometric Diagrams to meet the business needs of the Company.
