Driver Hire Edinburgh West are proud to have been asked to partner with our prestigious client based in Broxburn to assist with the recruitment process of Fixed Term Contract HGV Drivers Apply below after reading through all the details and supporting information regarding this job opportunity. These roles are available as soon as this Sunday 14 April 2024 and will be ongoing until end of October 2024 (with a possibility of continuing throughout the winter months which will be confirmed later in the contract). As a LGV2 driver you will be required to collect your truck at their Broxburn depot, drive to Edinburgh City Centre to load, deliver to clients' Newcastle location to unload, re-load returning to Edinburgh then returning truck to Broxburn depot. Whilst you will be met in both locations to unload/reload by member of our clients’ own workforce, you will be expected to assist with this process and some heavy lifting may be required. The shift patterns for these positions are as follows: 3 days on 3 days off, working either: 0800-2000hrs, 1600-0400hrs OR 2200-1000hrs Rates of Pay:

  • 15.00 ph days PAYE
  • 16.50 ph nights PAYE
This will initially involve our drivers working on a rail contract (Broxburn - Edinburgh Waverley - Newcastle & return) on completion of 6-8 weeks you will then transfer to an aviation contract (Broxburn – Glasgow – Edinburgh – Glasgow – Broxburn). You will be required to have a full DBS check carried out so it is essential you have 5 years full checkable work history.
