Ipswich Town Football Club is looking for a First Team Logistics Manager to plan, deliver and manage seamless First Team travel arrangements for all home and away matches as well as being responsible for arranging international training camps, friendlies, and winter breaks.

The First Team Logistics Manager will also deliver administrative and operational support to existing and newly recruited First Team players.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Producing detailed travel itineraries for the full season including all away games.
  • Investigating and reviewing relevant technology to recommend and implement to streamline processes and reduce spending.
  • Managing domestic and international travel budgets and budget setting for next season.
  • Organising all travel ensuring flawless execution while staying within budget, including but not limited to coaches, flights, and trains.
  • Booking hotels and accommodation and visiting all match locations to select the best accommodation.
  • Identifying and selecting the best possible training camp and facilities through thorough research and pre-visits.
  • Ensuring adequate security protection is in place for the First Team Manager, players and senior football staff and operationally managing the security personnel during these away or overseas trips.
  • Developing and maintaining a high-quality player care programme for all First Team players, acting as the ongoing primary point of contact for players, staff and families.
  • Assisting the media, marketing, and commercial departments with player appearance requests, ensuring the player is appropriately prepared to deliver these effectively.
  • Oversee ticket allocation and distribution for players for home and away matches.

Who are you?

  • Have extensive experience in the travel industry or a similar role within the sports industry.
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of operating in an elite performance and team environment.
  • Have a track record of building strong, collaborative relationships.
  • Have strong verbal communication skills and the ability to influence.
  • Demonstrate excellent listening skills, understanding what people want and need.
  • Be flexible and willing to work unsocial hours including weekends and evenings.
  • Have a “Team First” mentality.
  • Identify and resolve complex problems quickly and effectively and be results-orientated with a strong "can do" attitude.
  • Have excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to prioritise. You will be detail-orientated, analytical, and process-driven.
  • Ideally, you will have experience of change management, organisation design, process change and project management.
  • Be calm under pressure.
  • Have strong emotional intelligence, humility and integrity.
  • Demonstrate decisiveness under pressure.
  • Have a full, clean driving license.
  • Be bi or multi-lingual (desirable but not mandatory).
