Mechanical Fitter £18.35 per hour Selby Pin Point Recruitment is looking for a Mechanical Fitter for a chemical manufacturing business based in Selby The company have been established since 1979 and cover 9 sites across the UK. Mechanical Fitter Job Role:
  • Carry out routine / preventative and reactive maintenance on all mechanical aspects of the plant in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Respond to plant breakdowns as required.
  • Carry out routine inspections and maintenance associated with the plant preventative maintenance system (FSI).
  • Ensure all work is carried out to a high standard.
  • Ensure all H&S procedures, including permit to work, are adhered to.
  • Assist in the preparation / implementation of RAMS, necessary to carry out each task.
  • Comply with Health and Safety requirements, as per training, policies, procedures, risk assessments, method statements, safe systems of work etc.
Hours: * 9 hour day shifts, Mon – Fri Skills Required:
  • Working in a mechanical maintenance role within a heavy industrial environment
  • Experience fitting, fault finding and fixing pumps and piping
  • Apprenticeship trained is an advantage
  • Health and safety conscience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
