Are you a night Owl? Are you Patient, Empathetic and Friendly? Become a Waking Night Support Worker. What matters to the people we support matters to us. It’s their life, their way. We are looking for someone to join the team supporting a gentleman in his own home in Folkestone during the night. You will be working in their home, so it’s important you can connect. Some people may like to stay up late and watch a film, listen to Music with a hot chocolate, or enjoy a relaxing bath before going to bed. For others, they may be early risers and want your support to get up and ready for the day ahead, and so your role will be to provide responsive support during the night and early morning as required. So, if you enjoy building meaningful relationships and think you could communicate and deliver support with and alongside people, then this is the place for you. We have opportunity for a 36 hour waking night post (4 nights per week) working from 10pm - 7am. You would need to be prepared to work flexibly, which would include some weekends. Affinity Trust does not presently hold a Sponsorship Licence and while this status is reviewed regularly there is no present proposal to apply for such a Licence Why Join Us? What will we do? We will train you in everything you need to be a great Support Worker. We will apply and pay for your enhanced DBS, and we have a mentorship scheme in place to provide support and guide you on your journey with us.
