Morson Group is urgently seeking experienced EHV Fitters for a 6-month contract working in St Albans. You will play a vital role in the safe completion of the Inspection, Maintenance and defect Repairs of substations, plant and equipment up to and including 132kV. Contracted Days: Monday – Friday. Hourly Rate: £24.00 - £30.00 LTD, PAYE & Umbrella payments also available. Duties:

• Inspection and Maintenance of EHV plant and equipment up to and including 132kV.
• Carry out inspections of Grid and Primary substations.
• Supervise testing of HV, LV and pilot cables as being to specification
• Liaise with control and carry out stand-by duties to maintain network security (where authorised). Responsibility for all aspects of Safety, Health, and Environment relevant to this role
• Carry out risk assessments and demonstrate a safety culture.

Qualifications Required:

• ONC in electrical power or City & Guilds Part 232/2339 in electrical/electronic qualification.
• Electrical apprenticeship in a power distribution (or similar) company.
• Be able to demonstrate experience working on regional electricity networks and therefore have a comprehensive knowledge of the electrical distribution network.
• Hold a current UK driving licence.
• A good comprehension of mechanical knowledge.
