About The Role BREWDOG ARE ON THE HUNT FOR AN ASSISTANT FLOOR MANAGER We at BrewDog have one mission. We want to make other people as passionate about great craft beer as we are. Our bars are at the forefront of that mission, delivering amazing beer & customer service at all times. And now, we’re looking for an Assistant Floor Manager to join our team. In this role you’ll support the Floor Manager of the running of this site, who will delegate their duties as they see fit. You’ll be the benchmark for customer service, leading by example & training others to give the best customer experience of all time. You’ll be part of an experienced management team alongside a crew of passionate & confident individuals, made up of team in the kitchen, on the floor & behind the bar. Some with vast amounts of beer knowledge, some with years of customer service experience, some fresh into the industry. Your job is to be the glue that holds the team together & pushes them to be better every single day, and develop to the next stages of their career with us. About You You will have at least a couple of years’ experience in a management role in a busy bar & kitchen in order to help steer and develop the team here. Financial acumen will also be required for this role, with a solid understand of P&L's in all parts of the business. You'll be dedicated and flexible - this one of a kind role within BrewDog will be both challenging and rewarding, and something you can make your own. Knowledge of craft beer for this role would be desirable, but a willingness to learn if you don’t is essential. We’ve got all the tools (and the beer), you just need to be excited to learn. You also must be customer service focus centric, making sure every single experience a customer has at this BrewDog bar absolutely stand-out. You’ll be a natural trainer & love seeing the people around you learn & develop, you’ll be responsible for nurturing the future talent in BrewDog bars and take pride in that. Proven experience of successfully managing and developing a driven and high performing with examples of team progression. Key Responsibilities: Operational Management: Oversee the daily floor operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service. Monitor and manage reservations, seating arrangements, and table turnover. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Develop and implement operational policies and procedures. Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts, and bussers. Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development. Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and high morale. Customer Service: Ensure exceptional customer service is delivered consistently by all staff members. Address and resolve customer complaints and feedback promptly and professionally. Engage with guests to ensure their dining experience meets or exceeds expectations. Financial Management: Assist in managing the restaurant’s budget, controlling costs, and maximizing profitability. Monitor sales and revenue, preparing regular financial reports. Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and customer retention. Inventory and Supplies: Manage inventory levels, ensuring timely ordering and restocking of supplies. Conduct regular inventory checks and maintain accurate records. Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure quality and cost-efficiency. Marketing and Promotion: Coordinate with marketing teams to promote events, specials, and seasonal offerings. Engage with social media and online platforms to increase the restaurant’s visibility and attract customers. Maintenance and Cleanliness: Ensure the dining area, restrooms, and other facilities are clean and well-maintained. Conduct regular inspections and coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs and upkeep. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Restaurant/Floor Manager or in a similar role within the hospitality industry. Strong understanding of restaurant management and operations. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills. Proficient in inventory management and budgeting. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations. Exceptional customer service skills and a customer-centric approach. Knowledge of health and safety regulations. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Preferred Skills: Certification in hospitality management or a related field. Familiarity with POS systems and restaurant management software.
