Senior Finance Analyst

Yellow Social Interactive is a dynamic and innovative force in the social gaming industry, leading the way with creative and engaging experiences for our users. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a seasoned Senior FP&A Analyst to join our finance team. This role is crucial in driving strategic financial planning and decision-making processes to support the company's growth.
As a Senior FP&A Analyst at YSI, you will take on a leadership role in financial planning, analysis, and decision support. We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strategic mindset and the ability to provide valuable insights to executive leadership.
Responsibilities:
1. Financial Planning:
Lead the development and maintenance of complex financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
Collaborate closely with department heads and senior management to align financial plans with strategic objectives.
Reviewing the weekly, monthly and budget submissions performing critical analysis and discussing directly with the country finance teams resolving issues as they arise. Summarise and present findings to FP&A Manager
2. Performance Analysis
Conduct thorough variance analysis, highlighting key drivers and trends to support decision-making.
Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and assess business performance.
Become an expert in Looker & Tableau BI tools and Excel modelling to develop insightful analysis.
3. Decision Support
Provide strategic financial guidance for major initiatives, investments, and business decisions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and evaluate the financial impact of various business scenarios.
Using available data to identify issues which could have a significant impact on business performance.
4. Financial Reporting
Oversee the preparation of comprehensive and insightful financial reports for senior management and external stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and regulatory requirements
5. Team Leadership
Mentor and guide junior members of the FP&A team, fostering professional development.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance processes and efficiency.
6. Ad-Hoc Analysis
Conduct in-depth ad hoc financial analysis to address specific business challenges and opportunities.
Take a proactive role in special projects and initiatives to optimize financial operations.
~ Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA or professional certification preferred).
~5+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis roles.
~ Proven experience in leading financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
~ Advanced proficiency in financial analysis tools and techniques, with expertise in Microsoft Excel.
~ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior leadership.
~ Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
~ Previous experience in the gaming, social media or technology sector is a distinct advantage.
