Set in 2 acres of tranquil wooded gardens, this privately owned family-run hotel with panoramic views of Borrowdale Valley, serves traditional British cuisine and local Lakeland produce, including lamb, game and fish. There is an extensive wine list, and guests can also enjoy afternoon tea in the cosy lounge by the open fire.
To ensure that junior cooks and trainees receive the right training and optimum
To deputise in the sous chef's absence and take charge of the kitchen when directed to
To attend training courses and seminars as and when required.
To strive to study management subjects in preparation for future advancement.
Maintaining and cleaning all public areas in the hotel, bar and restaurants. Cleaning all rooms to a high standard ensuring any issues are forwarded to the relevant department. Helping to achieve the highest levels of guest satisfaction in all areas with the rest of the team.
