Job Description
My client, a leading Tier 1 Investment Bank is seeking an experienced Finance Program Manager to work on a large reconciliations program. The successful candidate will oversee a team of professionals, ensuring the successful delivery of services to our business across various geographic regions. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of operations, strong commercial awareness, and exceptional communication skills.
6 month contract
Day rate Inside IR35 PAYE or Umbrella Options
Based in Canary Wharf -3 days per week in the office.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and direct day-to-day activities of running a program or portfolio of programs.
- Manage multiple teams or a functional area, depending on the size of the business.
- Resolve issues impacting beyond own area by applying comprehensive understanding of concepts and procedures.
- Ensure creation and signoff of program plans, stakeholder management plans, and acceptance plans.
- Identify and include all stakeholders in scope definition activities.
- Monitor program risks and escalate to the Program Director or Program Sponsor when necessary.
- Maintain appropriate staffing requirements to meet operational needs.
- Evaluate subordinates' performance and make recommendations for personnel actions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in Program/Project Management.
- Experience within Operations and Reconciliations experience.
- Finance change or accounting experience desired.
- Investment Banking/Financial Services essential.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, or a related discipline.
- MBA or advanced degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting preferred.
