ESG Senior Associate, Leading International Private Equity and Infrastructure Investor, London, UK

Our client is a leading international investor across mid-market private equity and infrastructure. The firm is looking for an ESG Senior Associate to join its Private Equity team to support the ESG and Sustainability Director across a broad range of sustainability-related projects. Support the ESG & Sustainability Director to conduct due diligence of new investment opportunities, including assessing the status quo, analysing risks and opportunities, and developing key milestones for the ownership period
Support the design and delivery of training and team events relating to ESG and sustainability
Assess portfolio company performance against the firm's ESG requirements and in developing action plans to ensure improvement areas are addressed over time
Lead the process of collecting ESG data from 3i's portfolio companies on an annual basis
Prior experience of sustainability within industry or in a consultancy capacity, ideally having supported the implementation of ESG strategies, initiatives and/or due diligence
Prior experience within, or understanding of the financial services sector, would be beneficial
A clear commercial focus, with an ability to be innovative and pragmatic
