Jonathan Lee Recruitment is helping a respected company recruit a Vehicle Mechanic for their welcoming and inclusive team. This full-time role is based at Millbrook Proving Ground, Bedfordshire, and offers a salary of £37,500 to £43,500 per annum and excellent benefits.As a Vehicle Mechanic, you will support onsite customer equipment failure inspection, diagnosis, repairs, and warranty work. You'll also perform diagnostic tests and repair of military vehicles and equipment, onsite and in the field, in compliance with technical service and statutory regulations.If you were already in this Vehicle Mechanic role, here are some areas you might have worked in this week:Diagnostics, maintenance and repair of military vehicles and equipment, on-site and in the field, in compliance with company technical service and statutory regulations.Compliance with and monitoring of statutory regulations, in particular those involving safety at work and environmental protectionResponsibility for the preparation of safe and compliant work sites, tools and materialsGeneration of work breakdown structures, cost estimates, and performance specificationsIndependent management of a facility in collaboration with a technical teamDelivery of training tasks, internally and externally, with the customer communityTo apply for this Vehicle Mechanic role, your soft skills, expertise, and experience should include:Experience in vehicle inspection, maintenance & repair, ideally in the field of military equipment, heavy commercial vehicles, construction machinery, agricultural machinery or specialist vehicle manufactureExperience in completion of relevant technical documentation and paperwork as dictated by industrySkills and experience in the operation of automotive diagnostic equipment, diagnostic fault finding, and troubleshootingPossess a C&G Heavy Vehicle Repair Level 3 or equivalent and test authorisation for technical tests specified by the statutory authoritiesIdeally experieced in Military vehicle technical maintenance, recent exposure to electronic fleet management systems and a Class C (HGV2) license but not essentialIf you're looking to impact and create change positively, you'll be rewarded with a salary of £37,500 to £43,500 and an attractive benefits package for your inclusive and committed approach.Please contact Jonathan Lee Recruitment today if this full-time Vehicle Mechanic job in Bedford motivates and inspires you.
