This is an exciting time for Allwyn UK, as we start to run the National Lottery and begin to transform our Retail Estate with NEW technology and Permanent Point of Sale.

This role will be a key leadership role within the overall Retail Deployment Transformation team - who's clear objective is to inspire and lead Allwyn's Retail execution plans, delivering excitement and change while engaging our trusted retail partners and valued retail players with an enhanced and modernised retail transformation programme.

We are looking for a Deployment Planning Manager who is responsible for collaborating and leading elements of the overall framework of the Deployment programme. They will play a crucial role in aligning internal workstreams across several functions within PPOS, Technology & Field sales and play a role in ensuring the successful transformation programme across our vast Retail network of over 40,000 locations. This role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, managing project timelines, and ensuring that wider internal teams are informed and engaged across the programme.

Requirements

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and execute detailed plans for asset deployment and retailer interaction. Working closely with internal teams and stakeholders to delivery and execute against required milestones.
  • Adapt and further define project scope, objectives, timelines, and any additional resource requirements (internal & external).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and expectations.
  • Build relevant story boards, ensuring plans are well thought-out and clear ideation and relationships across several planning gates.

Asset collation:

  • Work with existing planning tools and assumptions to build out retailer and account requirements that best serve the growth and strategic objectives for Allwyn and The National Lottery.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align and agree scope and impact analysis of all asset implementation across the TNL retail estate.

Asset Deployment:

  • Work closely with Head of Deployment to update and flex the overall master deployment plan with all requirements from other workstreams considered.
  • Represent the deployment programme across several workstreams and be an overarching SME of all thing's deployment (across Technology, PPOS & their relevant consumables).

Team Coordination:

  • Lead and support cross-functional teams of specialists from a pool of internal and external workstreams.
  • Collaborate with Technology, operations, and other relevant departments to ensure plans are aligned and well considered.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members throughout the deployment planning process.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Proactively address issues that may arise during the deployment planning process.
  • Work closely with our Network & Technolgy Manager and PPOS Deployment Manager to ensure operational considerations are well planned and aligned to our retailer comms/engagement plans.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Work closely with our Enhanced Service Manager to agree programme KPIs and reporting framework. In addition, work with internal Data Analyst to support in the regular cadence of progress reports for stakeholders, highlighting key milestones and potential challenges.
  • Pre agree the methodology that will best serve the objectives of the programme to identify opportunities for process improvement and optimisation.

Key measures of success

  • Successful implementation of the NEW National Lottery Point-of-Sale assets across our Retail estate
  • Delivery of sales targets through a successful deployment programme
  • Availability of TNL products, ensuring all players can purchase the games they want in all sales outlets
  • Customer service measures - minimising disruption through a programme of change
  • Player protection compliance measures - continuity of compliance messages through the relationship of PPOS and POS material
  • Retailer engagement measures
  • Team engagement measures
  • Delivery of deployment planning phases, within the overall agreed budget forecasts, achieving cost efficiencies where possible

Knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, and qualifications for success

Deployment Planning experience:

  • Experience of leading complex project delivery, with a track record of successful deployment projects from start to finish
  • Experience of delivering deployment planning and strategy with a deep understanding of deployment tools, processes and methodologies
  • Experience in customer services excellence, with a clear focus on providing excellent customer service to clients and stakeholders
  • Experience in working collaboratively with internal and external team members while bringing the outside in in terms of knowledge and 3rd party specialist.

Supporting skills:

  • Experience working in retail environments, executing sales strategies at a regional & national level, while considering account specific requirements
  • Strong leadership capabilities and can inspire and motivate the team to deliver excellence
  • Commercially centric, focused on delivering ambitious sales growth targets and budget performance against forecasts
  • Customer focused, with a partnership led approach
  • Able to understand the pressures and priorities of retail and therefore credibly influence the wider Retail Sales Team to sell TNL and thrive in a modern retail environment
  • Digitally forward, quick to embrace new retail technology and inspire and motivate your team and retailers to adopt technology to drive sales
