Matron - Community

We are seeking to appoint a Matron for a Boarding House to be responsible for the smooth running of the House including the pastoral care, well-being and supervision of students. This will include supporting their studies and activities, dealing with travel, record-keeping, administration and ensuring student safety.
We have a co-educational community of over 500 students aged from 6-18, who are predominantly full boarding and are drawn from over 40 countries.
Experience in a similar setting is an advantage as is an SVQ 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) and a first aid qualification.
The post-holder will be full-time, “term time plus” Monday-Saturday, normally working shifts between 0700hrs to 1830hrs. Due to the nature of the role, Matrons are expected to be flexible as and when it is necessary to ensure that the required level of service and care is in place.
Registered with SSSC or NMC or other professional body recognised by SSSC
Achieved SVQ 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent or working towards qualification
Experience of working with children/adolescents
