Renewables Technical Expert - Permanent Position based St. Asaph, North Wales


Working environment: Field/Office
Primary location: St Asaph


We require an experienced renewables technical expert, to be able to oversee the quality of our installations and provide the right technical and health and safety advice.
A hybrid role of working within the office and on-site supervision of projects we aim to deliver installs to the highest quality and safety standards.
You will be reviewing historical installs to be able to provide the best advice on a solution, whether its heat pumps or solar installs, we need to ensure that customers have got the right products safely installed.
Key responsibilities:
Operational Excellence:
• Strong communication skills required to effectively facilitate discussions to resolve issues and planning on-site activities.
• On-site diagnosis of customers installation problems
• Ensure the safety standards are in place with our teams.
• Review existing processes to find best in class solution


Financial Focus:
• Installs need to be delivered within budget, safely, and continuous feedback provided to the wider team to ensure accurate surveys, and safety critical aspects haven't been missed out.
• Ensure that the business is ready for growth, with consistent standards set with our partners
• Customer Focus: Customers are at the heart of our business, and the ability to manage customer expectations is key to ensuring a smooth customer journey.
• Willingness to communicate with customers and installers, to problem solve and provide solutions.
• Manage customer complaints to conclusion


People Focus:
• Ability to work with the team to find the right solution, and able to deal with ambiguity to find proactive solutions to installation problems


Health, Safety and Environmental:
• Conducting site audits and managing the outcomes to ensure safety standards are at the highest level
• Ensuring CDM practices are in place
• Addressing on site safety incidents, to ensure made safe, investigated and reported


Skills/Qualifications/Experience: Essential
• Experience of working on site, preferably in the renewables environment
• Good health and safety knowledge with an understanding of CDM
• Rounded knowledge of risk and compliance and demonstrable planning and project management skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Full driving licence


Desirable
• NEBOSH or IOSH
• Installation experience
• Understanding of the NICEIC & MCS standards required
