We have a unique opportunity for a Quarry Manager to join the teamat our Garside Sandsquarry in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Quarry Manager to join a well established team working across 4 fine sand quarries.
With an annual extraction of just shy of 400,000 tonnes we supply customers as far as Hong Kong with the specialist sands from this quarry.
You will help maintain the financial performance of the site in line with budget requirements ensuring processes are implemented to report all information required for accounting purposes
Implement and ensure compliance of the companys health and safety rules, Quality assurance and environmental policies
Work strategically to ensure quarry operations are carried out in accordance with the geotechnical assessment and quarry design plan
Understanding of Quarry Regulations, Statutory Health & Safety and Employment legislation
Currently hold SHE NVQ Level 3 or QCF Equivalent and Geotechnical 4
Nebosh qualification or similar ie QCF Level 6 or to undertake the required training
Highly organised with demonstrable planning and delivery capabilities
Understanding of budgets and financial responsibility
