The team you’ll work with:
HSBC Innovation Banking’s Strategic Fund Solutions (“SFS”) team is responsible for managing key aspects of the bank’s relationships with its Private Equity, Private Credit and Venture Capital clients. SFS optimises the client experience through dedicated relationship management and delivering the breadth of the bank’s products to this sector, including banking, lending, treasury, and foreign exchange.
The SFS team is looking for a dedicated fund finance banker with strong relationship management, credit, and lending experience to join a fast-growing team in London.
What you can expect to be doing:
Develop and manage relationships with a portfolio of Private Equity, Private Credit and Venture Capital clients.
Lead lending transactions from start to finish, including completion of due diligence, analysis and structuring of complex loans, and negotiation of loan documentation, with support from Associates & VPs, and ensuring alignment with the bank’s risk parameters.
Anticipate client needs and manage client concerns with internal operations and product groups as appropriate.
Support the Head of Relationship Management to develop and execute against a business plan to improve client experience and drive business growth.
Think creatively and leverage the HSBC platform to develop value-add solutions that meet client needs and that go beyond basic banking and lending products.
Develop and maintain an external industry network, and act as an ambassador for the bank through selective attendance at relevant events & conferences.
Identify opportunities to and take ownership of driving process improvements to optimise the client experience.
Day-to-day performance management of Associate direct reports within the Relationship Management team.
