Job Scope:

We are looking for an Activities Assistant to join our team. The Activities Assistant plays a vital role in enhancing residents’ quality of life by coordinating and facilitating engaging activities and programs. Collaborating closely with the Home Manager and support teams, the Activities Assistant creates a stimulating environment that promotes residents’ physical, emotional, and social wellbeing.

As the Activities Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the planning and implementation of a diverse activities program. Your role will involve contributing to a weekly schedule tailored to residents’ interests, maintaining an events calendar, and documenting residents’ responses to activities.

As the Activities Assistant, you will actively participate in team meetings, assist in gathering residents’ life stories, and uphold Health and Safety standards. Your pivotal contributions in these areas will significantly foster a sense of community and fulfillment for our residents.

As an Activities Assistant, you will make a positive impact on the wellbeing of those we care for.

Do you have?

* Completion of GCSEs or equivalent in English and Mathematics

* Ability to lead group sessions, creativity in designing and implementing engaging activities, and motivation to inspire resident participation

* Flexibility to adapt to residents’ changing needs and preferences

* Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, senior managers, directors, and relatives

* Proficiency in MS Office

* Experience working in a care home or community centre providing activities for older adults
