Head of Training & Certification - ANZ, Training and Certification

Here is your chance to join the Training & Certification team, working in the highly visible role of Head of Training & Certification – ANZ. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the ANZ Training and Certification Business. You will develop and own executive relationships with top AWS customers, helping our customers drive a long-term transformation agenda, accelerating customers' use of AWS Cloud. You will coach and manage a team of Instructors and Business Development Managers. You will assist customers in understanding their training requirements, develop detailed training proposals, and manage the flawless execution of training plans. This is a great opportunity to combine your passion for business development, customer enablement, and technology. You will also be responsible for P&L management in ANZ.

You will have excellent communication skills and proven business development experience, ideally in the IT sector. Experience in supporting customer enablement or training and SaaS Sales will further enable your success.

To be successful in this position, you must be a self-starter who is prepared to Think Big and Dive Deep.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Work closely with the Account and Partner Teams to identify, plan, and deliver Training and Certification Programs for AWS Partner and Customer Audiences.
  2. Own the executive relationships with AWS top customers to drive their long-term learning and development and transformation agendas in partnership with AWS.
  3. Work closely with the Customer Success Management team in Training and Certification and the broader business to ensure customer adoption of training is being acted upon.
  4. Collaborate across teams within AWS, e.g., Solution Architects, Product and curriculum teams to establish local programs that deliver downstream impact for the customer and AWS.
  5. Coach and manage a team of Business Development Managers, setting team and individual goals and revenue plans and successfully meet or exceed these as a team.
  6. Coach and manage Technical Training Managers and Trainers ensuring that they are developed and utilized across AWS products and Services and achieve their goals and KPIs as a team.
  7. Maintain a strong relationship with customers to ensure flawless execution of training plans.
  8. Work closely with the AWS country leadership to help plan and execute a comprehensive AWS digital skills development framework across ANZ and influence think big opportunities to drive skills agenda together with the country leadership team.
  9. Create & nurture Training Partnerships in ANZ supporting them to drive business, collaborating closely with the AWS Training partner team in ANZ to expand training through Training partners.
  10. Develop a strategy to cooperate with local and national organizations, including public sector, higher education, skills councils, Public Policy, or large non-profit or for-profit organizations to design, build and execute long-term projects supporting Digital Skills.
  11. Evangelize AWS Training & Certification at company and industry events.
  12. Manage and drive all training investment programs in the country, including philanthropic sponsoring or funded training projects for customers, AWS partners, or a wider audience.
  13. Drive training engagements at the CXO level as well as with Line of Business Leaders across complex organizations.
  14. Build & maintain a pipeline of training opportunities and provide regular forecasts.
  15. Prepare and deliver business reviews to senior management.

Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS) AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest-growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers, including the public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  1. 10+ years of building and leading large teams and working in matrixed operating structures experience.
  2. Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  3. Experience working and communicating with multiple stakeholders, C-level executives, and cross-functional teams or equivalent.
  4. Experience in strategic thinking about business, enterprise software products, and new technology platforms and architectures or equivalent.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. 5+ years of managing and developing high performance teams experience.
