Our company is seeking a skilled 3rd Line IT Technician to join our small but growing IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our customers' IT infrastructure, as well as providing advanced technical support and troubleshooting to end-users and other IT staff. The role requires a strong understanding of networking, server hardware and software, security, and cloud-based technologies, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Provide 3rd line technical support and troubleshooting to end-users and other IT staff, including diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues
Manage and maintain server hardware and software systems, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange Server, and other server applications
Monitor and maintain network performance and security, including firewalls, VPNs, switches, routers, and other network components
Maintain and manage cloud-based technologies, such as Office 365 and Azure
Collaborate with 2nd line and 1st line IT technicians to escalate issues and ensure timely resolution
Provide technical guidance and support to end-users and other IT staff, including training on new hardware and software systems
Maintain accurate documentation of IT infrastructure, including hardware and software inventory, network topology, and system configurations
Identify and recommend improvements to IT systems and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability
Participate in project planning and execution, including developing project plans and timelines, and executing project tasks as assigned
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in IT infrastructure and security, and recommend new technologies and practices as appropriate

At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in IT infrastructure management and technical support
Solid understanding of server hardware and software systems, including Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange Server, and other server applications
Experience with cloud-based technologies, such as Office 365 and Azure
Knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN
Strong understanding of cybersecurity and best practices for IT security
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with end-users and other members of the IT team
Relevant industry certifications, such as Microsoft MCSA/MCSE or CompTIA Security+

Complex server issues
Network infrastructure management
Advanced database management and administration
Advanced data recovery and disaster recovery planning
High-level IT project management
