Our client is the world’s premier video publisher in their sector boasting an impressive reach of more than 3 million YouTube subscribers and 24 million monthly viewers.
Their productions, acclaimed for their excellence, have positioned them as the leader in video content across a niche industry. The opportunity has now arisen for an experienced Head of Content to guide the editorial and creative video teams. This pivotal role involves leading a dedicated team of Content Producers in the development, scripting, and production of explainer-style video content for distribution across YouTube and various social media platforms.
The ideal candidate will bring a solid history of steering creative teams towards the creation of digital video content that resonates with a broad audience.
This role represents a unique chance to assume a leadership position within a vibrant, expanding company that is at the forefront of media innovation in a vital yet often overlooked field.
Spearheading the editorial direction of our client's content offerings.
Crafting and refining the overarching content strategy, encompassing new formats, allocation of resources, and series development.
Managing the content production process, including pitch, research, script, and production phases for explainer-style digital video content.
Conducting editorial meetings and overseeing a team of four Content Producers as their direct supervisor, which includes regular one-on-one sessions and bi-annual development planning meetings.
Coordinating the publishing calendar to ensure timely delivery of video projects, equipped with the necessary resources for publication.
Providing critical feedback on content pitches, video scripts, drafts, and sponsored content integrations.
Supporting the commercial objectives of the company, including the creation of branded content and sponsored integrations.
A distinguished career in leading creative teams to produce explainer-style video content for digital platforms, with a primary focus on YouTube.
Outstanding organisational and planning capabilities.
An appreciation for the unique voice, style, and approach of the client's content.
A genuine enthusiasm for the transformative potential of video journalism compared to traditional media forms.
