If so, I am currently partnered with a fantastic school that is situated in Barking who are looking to recruit an Autism Teaching Assistant to join their SEND department from Septmeber. 

Autism Teaching Assistant | What are we looking for?
  • Minimum of a 2:1 degree from a Top 30 UK University.
  • Ideally have some experience working with children in a school setting. 
  • Ability to relate to children and maintain effective relationships.
  • Understanding of the importance of safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school.
  • Aspirations to become an Educational or Clinical Psychologist.
Autism Teaching Assistant | What will you do?
  • Planning and implementing work programmes with pupils who have ASC on a 1:1 basis.
  • Promote the inclusion of all pupils, ensuring they have equal opportunities to learn and develop.
  • Work closely alongside SEND professionals, Behaviour Specialists, and Speech and Language Therapists.
This will be a fantastic opportunity for a top graduate to gain some extensive experience working with vulnerable children as an Autism Teaching Assistant, that will be beneficial towards your future career goals in Psychology.
