To ensure that the Facilities are maintained to the levels specified in the Performance Standards of the Project Agreement / Contract.
To always operate with safe working practices with due regard to Health and Safety Regulations, COSHH, Control of Infection, Waste Disposal etc in accordance with legislative requirements and policies and procedures of RFM.
To maintain asset histories, maintenance records and helpdesk reports, informing the RFM Lead Engineer and Facilities Manager or sub-contractors of any follow up action that may be required.
The post holder will be required to maintain an awareness of RFM's policies, procedures and objectives related to the successful delivery of the maintenance service. To support overarching responsibilities of the building water safety logbook and ensure a robust water hygiene maintenance regime is followed in accordance with Company procedures, risk assessments and industry best practice.
To carry out basic testing of fire alarms, emergency lighting and other building critical systems in accordance with company procedures and industry best practice.
To take part on an on-call rota, providing 24-hour, 365-day cover to the hospital as well as other contracts within operational responsibility.
To carry out winter gritting and snow clearing duties as necessary as part of the RFM team and assist ground contractor in times of sever inclement weather.
Knowledge and understanding of Building Energy Management System would be an advantage.
Experience as the Competent Person (CP) or Responsible Person (RP) for Water disciplines within a Healthcare Environment.
Carry out plumbing works.
Full current driving license (desirable)
