We are seeking an experienced Site Manager for a large-scale self-storage unit construction project in Barking. This role requires a professional with a strong background in both fit-out works and external works, ideally within industrial or commercial developments. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily site operations to ensure safe, timely, and on-budget completion.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and teams for smooth workflow.
  • Manage fit-out phases (interiors, M&E, etc.) and external works (landscaping, drainage, façade).
  • Ensure site compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Conduct inspections, quality control, and complete snagging lists.
  • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Effectively manage labor, materials, and logistics.
Required Experience:
  • Proven experience in industrial/commercial project management, especially self-storage facilities.
  • Expertise in fit-out (partitioning, M&E, flooring) and external works (drainage, paving).
  • Strong knowledge of construction health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and manage teams effectively.
Qualifications:
  • SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid certifications; degree or diploma preferred.
  • Experience with reputable contractors or developers.
Skills & Attributes:
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and time-management skills.
  • Adaptable and capable of handling multiple tasks
