The School of Arts supports five successful and dynamic departments: Music, Film and TV, Theatre, Anthropology and Archaeology, and Philosophy and we are looking for a talented Technical Manager to lead on technical teaching operations across the departments of Film and TV, Music and Theatre. Operational Management: You will manage the delivery of technical teaching across the areas of Film and TV, Music and Theatre ensuring a high standard of provision that stays abreast of technical and curriculum developments.
Planning: You will support and inform the longer-term planning of the service to ensure it meets the needs of departments. You will use your knowledge to inform the purchase of new equipment and software to best support teaching needs.
Health and Safety Management: You will have experience of writing and implementing Health and Safety policies and procedures and ensuring compliance.
You have experience of working within a relevant context e.g. within the performing arts, film-making, Music and/or live arts. Current, detailed, and applied, technical knowledge in the performing and screen arts, including software and technical equipment.
You enjoy working within a team, demanding high standards of yourself and others with a willingness to interact with our students and academics in a confident and friendly manner.
