Finance System & Projects Accountant - 12mth FTC

Are you a CCAB Qualified Accountant (or QBE) looking to use your finance experience and knowledge to help have a direct impact on the strategic direction of our finance function?

We are currently hiring for Finance System & Projects Accountant on a 12month Fixed Term Contract role basis to join GOSH Charity and play a pivotal role in delivering the Finance team business plan.

Role Overview

The Finance System & Projects Accountant will:
  • Take the lead on implementing and delivering an upgrade and move into the Cloud for our Finance system, UNIT4 ERP CR SaaS.
  • Develop and enhance the cashflow forecast model, in order to maximise returns on the Charity's Treasury placings
  • Develop and embed the internal financial control framework, and documentation of the wider Charity financial control framework
About the Team

You'll work within the Finance team and as part of the wider Finance and Resources Directorate. You will report directly to the Head of Financial Accounting & Processing, and will also work closely with all members of the Finance team, as well as the Director of Finance & Resources.

About you
  • Qualified Accountant (CCAB / CIMA) or strong QBE
  • Finance System upgrade/implementation experience, ideally Unit4.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, high attention to detail, and collaborative working approach.
  • Finance process and controls understanding, and experience of working within a control function.
  • Previous experience of developing a cashflow forecast model, with positive results.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience
