Role Purpose: My Client is looking for an experienced Lead Structural Engineer to join the team in Warrington. The role involves contributing to major projects within the portfolio, delivering a lasting legacy through long-term partnerships and a commitment to a clean and safe environment.

Job Role Responsibilities: Lead Structural Engineer

• Define structural engineering requirements (basis of design) for the new facility.
• Provide input into layouts developed by the mechanical and process engineering team (e.g., advising on possible RC wall and slab thicknesses).
• Review existing site data and contribute to further site investigations to determine appropriate foundation solutions.
• Advise on seismic requirements, including the process to determine whether seismic design is required.
• Deliver structural engineering design of the new facility through Appraise & Select, Define, and Delivery Stages, including connections to existing facilities.
• Identify risks with proposed resolution/mitigation.
• Develop an appropriate deliverables list and format (drawings, specifications, reports, BIM, etc.).
• Manage the quality and assurance of all Structural Engineering deliverables.
• Health & Safety management, including the production of appropriate designer risk assessments.

Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications: Lead Structural Engineer

• Engineering experience demonstrating a record of successful delivery, influencing professional engineers, and guiding technical personnel.
• Experience working within a regulated and quality-assured system with professional judgment as a key attribute.
• Experience using and reviewing BIM at work (experienced user of structural engineering software is a minimum requirement).
• Experience in managing engineering processes and assets.
• Collaboration with other engineering disciplines and wider stakeholders.
