Embedded Software Tester This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, driven Device Driver Tester to join a growing software team in the continuing development of our global software platform. Our client develops and maintains enterprise-class products that contains many first-class features for the control and automation of packaging lines and related workflow. Responsibilities
- As a Driver Tester, you will play a varied role and will be exposed to the full lifecycle within an agile environment.
- As part of the strategic software team, your focus will be on contributing to the next generation of core products targeting a global marketplace.
- In this role, you will focus on enabling the driver development process, from communication with the manufacturer and specification of the driver’s behavior down to testing device drivers, documentation, and troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
- An interest in low-level device communications, and deciphering protocol from vendor documentation.
- Enjoy working with a variety of software packages and devices/ equipment to determine strategies for network communications to develop drivers.
- Experience in low-level device communications (TCP/RS232), embedded software, or firmware development.
- Understanding of all stages of the development lifecycle
