In this role, as a Data Engineer, you will work within the Data Analytics & Insight team. The key focus of this team is to produce data analysis and business insights in line with the Society’s data strategy.

For this job you'll spend at least two days per week, or if part time you'll spend 40% of your working time, based at either our Northampton, Swindon, or London office. Based on the considerable experience and skillset you bring as a data engineer; you will join a multi skilled team working on a varied set of data domains in the society. You will be reporting to the Lead Data Engineer, collaborating with other engineers, testers, data domain experts and product owners. Day-to-day you’ll be within a team working on solutions for data ingestion, data modelling, data processing, using a range of best in bread technologies.

This role will offer lots of exciting opportunities to continue developing in data engineering, DevOps and cloud technologies. We look to keep team sizes small to ensure we have the required agility to meet evolving business needs and allow greater ownership of building solutions which meet the highest levels of resilience and scalability. You will have accountability and responsibility for the design, development, and implementation of solutions, and will help the team deliver against our data strategy. Excellent experience of working on data platforms like Teradata, Azure
Working knowledge and experience of key DevOps concepts, tools and languages
Experience of working in an agile delivery model
Experience of working with highly regulated and sensitive data
